There are a lot of opportunities when it would be nice to have a dessert that would be both easy for people to eat and easy for you to make, but the most difficult part of this desire is usually finding something that fits this description; if you have ever had cake balls before, you surely realize that they are tremendously easy (and delicious!) to eat, but what you may not have known is that they are also tremendously easy to make! The first thing you need to do is bake a cake the same way you would usually bake it, preparing the cake batter and cooking it and giving it time to cool, but instead of putting frosting on the cake after it cools down, you will prepare the cake to be made into cake balls; firstly, put the cooled-down cake into a large mixing bowl, and then, you will want to use your hands to crumble the cake into the bowl until there are no large pieces remaining. After the cake has been completely crumbled into the bowl, the next thing you will want to do is add your frosting of choice; add about three-quarters of what you would add if you were putting the frosting on top of the cake (this is about one and a half cups of frosting for a normal-sized cake), using the back of a large, metal spoon to thoroughly mix in the frosting - and then, you will be ready to roll this mixture into balls about an inch and a half in diameter, placing the balls on waxed paper, then placing all of the cake balls in the refrigerator. After the cake balls have sat in the refrigerator for about an hour and a half, they should be hard enough for you to take the last step: melt some chocolate in the microwave, in a large, glass bowl, then cover the cake balls in this melted chocolate and return them to the waxed paper - and once this chocolate hardens over the cake balls, you will have your finished product! This is a wonderful dessert to bring to a work party, a birthday party, a holiday party, or just about anything else to which you need to bring some sort of treat - and the best part of all is that it is both easy and fun to make! http://bluerose.jamesloving.com/

Running Contests To Promote Your Business
If you have a small business, you have surely found that one of the biggest struggles is trying to get your name out there so that it becomes familiar to people. Of course, one of the best ways to get your name out there is to devise strategies for other people to get your name out there for you. And if you want to get others to spread the word for you, the best way to do this is by running contests. If you can run a contest in which the participants are encouraged to spread the word about the contest itself, it becomes a whole lot like you are delegating the task of advertising to these contestants, as they will end up doing a lot more work than you could do on your own. But you need to understand what will entice people to participate and spread the word before you can actually structure the contest in such a way that people are enticed by it!
One of the biggest things in creating a contest that actually works is coming up with a prize for the winner that people will actually want to compete for! For instance, if you run a pizza parlor, you need something more for the prize than just "a free pizza." Stretch yourself and branch out a bit, as people will go to greater lengths to win a prize the bigger the prize is. In the end, it comes down to this: the money you put into the reward for the winner is essentially "advertising money." Make sure that the contest is structured in such a way that it is easy to participate in as well, as people are more likely to participate in something that is easy. And in addition to your contest being easy to participate in, you should also structure it in such a way that participating in the contest automatically spreads the word about it! You will prevent yourself from growing if you remain small minded about your small business, and in this way you will put yourself in danger of disappearing. Instead, you should begin to branch out there with your ideas as much as you can; one of the best ways to do this is to run contests that allow others to spread the word for you!

How To Understand Card-Counting In Blackjack
One thing that people often hear about - and subsequently wonder about - is what it means when someone says that a person was "counting cards" in blackjack; there are a lot of stories about card counting, and there is a lot of confusion as to exactly what it is, whether or not it is legal, and whether or not it is advisable. While counting cards is not illegal, it is inadvisable, as casinos frown upon it (which means you could get yourself kicked out, without any chance of returning, if you are suspected of counting cards), and you could still lose loads of money - especially if you do it incorrectly; as with any games of chance, you will typically be doing yourself a favor, in the long run, if you only play them for fun - but if you have ever been curious about exactly what counting cards means, and exactly what it entails, this rundown will give you a clearer picture. Card counting is based on the realization that cards 10 through Ace are more valuable than other cards, as these cards increase the chances of the player winning while also increasing the dealer's chances of busting - while cards 2 through 6 are harmful, as they tilt the favor of the game toward the dealer. Card counters begin by assigning a value of plus-one to every card from 2 to 6, and of negative-one for every card from 10 to Ace (with nothing assigned to cards 7 through 9); as the cards fall on the table, the card counter will keep track of what the "count" is - so if 11 cards between two and six had fallen, with only three cards between 10 and Ace having fallen, the count would be plus-eight - with a high count signifying that there are a lot of high cards remaining in the deck, which means that the player is in good shape. If you were wanting to count cards effectively, of course, you would have to start at the beginning of a new shoe (after all, it wouldn't do you much good if you entered a game halfway into a 10-deck shoe!), and you also need to realize that a high count becomes more valuable as more cards leave the shoe - and as you keep these tips in mind, and as you practice, you just may find that "counting cards" is something you can tell your friends you are able to do. http://bluerose.jamesloving.com/

Getting Your Book Published
There are lots of people who operate under the false assumption that getting their book published is as simple as writing that last word and then shipping it off to all the major publishing houses (and - of course - hopefully finding that they are all battling to be the one who signs you!), but once you have written that last word, you will find that the publishing process is quite a bit more difficult. If the thought of writing a book has ever crossed your mind - regardless of whether your interests lie in fiction, non-fiction, self-help, or any other areas - it will be extremely useful for you to know the steps you must take in order to get your book published.
The first thing you will need to do if you want to publish a book is actually write the book, and while this might seem like an obvious statement, many writers who are just starting out begin to approach agents and publishers before they have even written the final word and gone through an immense set of edits - which is a definite no-no! Learn more from The Complete Idiots Guide To Getting Published. Once you have wrapped up the writing of the book, you will need to find an agent for your book, which will entail sending letters to all the agents who are open to submissions, and hoping that one of them likes the premise of the book and the writing in the book enough to ask you on as a client. And these days, "building a platform" - which is publishing lingo for having a strong web presence on Twitter, facebook, a blog, and anywhere else you can think of - is the most important thing of all; the earlier you start this step (even before you start writing, in fact!), the better shape you will be in when it comes time to try and get published. You must walk a long and winding road in order to become a published author, but when you know where to start in order to get where you are going, you will be much more likely to end up at your final destination. http://bluerose.jamesloving.com/

Making More Money
Plenty of people wish that they had more money (after all, who wouldn't want more money!), but not nearly as many people actually try to come up with ways by which they can make more money; if you have ever had a desire to have more money - and are willing to put in a bit of effort to make this desire a reality - here are a few ideas that you can keep in mind in order to get you from "here" to "there"! The most obvious solution to making more money is to work more hours; if you have a job that allows you to work overtime, consider picking up some extra hours in this way, and if you cannot work extra hours at the job you currently have, realize that there are fun and creative ways to make extra money with another "job" - ranging from babysitting to even teaching something that you enjoy. Not only can you get creative with the ways you can work to make extra money, but you can also get creative with the things you can sell for money; many people have found that they are able to shop at garage sales or antique stores and sell the things they have found for more money online - so start keeping an eye out at garage sales and antique stores, and see what you can purchase before turning right around and reselling! And honestly, most people have more money than they realize they have, and all they need to do is take a closer look at their budget to make this money available; if you have been wishing you had some extra money, look closely at your budget and try to find places where you can cut out superfluous things, and you just may find that you soon have a lot more money to work with than you had before! Money is one of the main concerns in life for many people, and it can sometimes seem like money is far more difficult to come by than you wish it would be - but when you keep these ideas in mind, you will be setting yourself up to go in the opposite direction, turning your money situation around for good! http://bluerose.jamesloving.com/

How To Teach Creative Writing To Middle School Students
Teaching creative writing to a group of high school students is easier than teaching it to middle school students, but as businesses are putting more and more emphasis on the importance of writing, it is becoming increasingly important for children to start learning about writing from an early age. If you are a middle school teacher, or if you are a parent with a child in middle school, you can give each student a leg up on the future by teaching them basic creative writing skills and exercises at this early stage. When you prepare your "lessons" for creative writing, you should make sure you are including a lot of writing assignments, as the best way for each student to learn about creative writing will be through the process of actually writing. As you plan these lessons, you should divide them into a pair of categories: One category should be assignments that will help your students "loosen up," by being creative and having fun, and other category should be assignments that encourage your students to "tighten up," as you have them pay closer attention to the technicalities of the writing. As you get deeper into your creative writing lessons, you can start combining the two types of lessons, grading your students (or gauging their progress) based on both their creativity and their ability to adhere to basic writing rules; also, if you are teaching your students other things at the same time you are teaching them creative writing, you can combine creative writing principles with projects for other subjects! Finally, the most important thing of all is for creative writing to feel like "fun" instead of feeling like "work"; you can accomplish this in a number of ways, but a couple things to consider is changing the setup of the room completely when you are going to be doing creative writing and participating in the writing assignments yourself, as it will thrill your students for you to have to do the assignments as well! When you put all these elements together, you will be able to train your students in the basics of creative writing, and this will lay a foundation for their continued success in both school and business! http://bluerose.jamesloving.com/
