Writing Good Articles To Grow Your Website
One thing you may have come to understand is that writing articles - and submitting these articles to article sites - is an excellent way for you to create backlinks for your website, and for you to drive up direct traffic, but one thing you may still be trying to figure out is exactly what constitutes a "good" article. Of course, the foundation of a good article should be good, competent writing, but while it is pretty much impossible to write a good article with bad writing, it is not at all impossible to write a bad article with good writing - and the content of the article itself will be your first defense against having a bad article: make sure the content relates to your site, and that it provides readers with valuable information. After you have made sure that the topic you are covering relates to your site (doing so with good writing), you will also want to make sure the writing itself is conversational and engaging; do your best to cause readers to feel as though they are reading something written "to them" by someone they know, rather than making them feel as though they are reading some sort of business correspondence. And making sure to leave your articles open-ended will be one of the biggest keys to getting clicks on the links you include in the articles you write; this can be a fine line to balance your writing along, as you will want to make your articles informative and worth reading, but will want to do so without giving so much away that your reader feels there is no need to click on the link you provide - so write with this goal in mind, and keep tabs on how many clicks you get on different articles, so you can determine which approaches are working and which can be discarded. When you keep these tips in mind as you write your articles, you will be able to start increasing your site's search engine ranking and traffic - all by writing about a topic that relates to your site, and that you probably enjoy writing about in the first place!

How To Make A Living - From Home!
If you have ever thought that you might like to make a living online, you are certainly not alone, as this is something a lot of people dream of doing; at the same time, however, many people who desire to make a living online never actually take any steps toward this dream - and those who do take steps toward this dream often end up discovering that it is far more difficult to bring to life than they originally imagined it would be. If you are hoping to do what you can to make a living online, you will want to start by recognizing the importance of traffic; the best way to look at traffic is as "currency," as - quite frankly - the more traffic you have on your site, the more money you will have the ability to make, and the best thing of all about traffic is that your potential to gain traffic is virtually uncapped! The two most important, fundamental things you can do to get traffic to your site are to A) focus on search engine optimization on your site, in order to put your site in a position where it shows up highly on search engine rankings pages, and B) to go to where the traffic is - which means spending lots of time on websites and in forums that pertain to your site, and interacting with others on these websites and in these forums. And finally, the biggest "extra credit" thing that will help when trying to get people to your site - and to put you in a position where you are making money as a result - is to be active in social media; when you have a strong social media platform - and when you make it easy for people to share your website and your content through their social media platforms, you will gain tons of additional traffic! The best thing about making money online is that you can begin the process even while working a full-time job - and once you start making money in your efforts, you can start transitioning out of your full-time job, and can begin to make a full-time living from the comfort of your own home!

How To Conduct Effective Giveaways
If you want to start gaining extra customers for your business, one of the best things for you to do is start conducting giveaways, as this is an excellent way to sacrifice a little bit of inventory (or time) in order to gain a lot of exposure; before you conduct a giveaway, however, you need to make sure you are going about it the right way. One mistake a lot of businesses make when conducting a giveaway is that they give away something that is "convenient" or "easy" for them to give away, but that is not necessarily something that any of their customers want; rather than giving away an item that most customers might themselves see as a "giveaway" item, make the investment of giving away something that is actually worthwhile to your customers. A giveaway should always involve participation from your customers (and prospective customers) in some way, but this does not mean that you need to make their participation difficult or an "obstacle"; instead, you can turn their participation into something that is fun and easy, as more people will participate if this is the case. If you want your giveaway to be a success, you need to have people who will help you spread the word, and because of the fact that people are busy with all the things going in in their own lives, it is sometime difficult to get people to take this step and help out. When it comes to getting people to spread the word about a contest, the best way to do so is to incentivize the "spread the word" aspect; one way to incentivize this aspect is by having a separate giveaway that each customer is entered into when they spread the word about the first giveaway on such social media sites as Twitter and facebook. You will be able to draw scores of new customers you way when you run a contest in this manner, and the only money you will need to spend on this form of advertising is the loss of a small amount of your inventory or time - which is a tradeoff that is definitely well worth it!

Is Dilbert Okay For My Employees?
We all are familiar with Dilbert cartoons, and even as a boss you probably think that a lot of the cartoons are pretty darn funny. After all, these cartoons are not making fun of you, right? But then again, when you start to see Dilbert strips tacked up on your employees' cubicle walls, it is easy to start second-guessing this self-assuredness. Even though it might seem silly or paranoid to consider that Dilbert has any effect on morale, it is also difficult to push from your mind those articles you read that, you know, said that Dilbert actually does have a negative impact on employee morale. And so, you finally face the question yourself: Are these cartoons negatively affecting employee morale? First off all, one must remember that humor and laughter is good for morale. Undoubtedly, the fact that these cartoon strips make your employees laugh is a sign in the right direction. But the issue, of course, is the fact that most of these laughs are induced by taking jabs at corporate culture. And it is difficult to keep your own self out of the specifics of this discussion when you see a cartoon on an employee's wall that makes fun of the boss. The solution, however, might not be as simple as just banning the cartoons from people's cubicles. After all, this would likely do nothing more than further the sometimes rampant view among employees in corporate America that the hierarchy is out of touch. Instead of reacting brashly and ordering all Dilbert strips to be taken down from cubicle walls, a better approach is to look at the strips yourself. Many of these strips are funny because they poke fun at the way businesses are run; if your employees think that these strips are applicable enough to be tacked on their cubicle wall, the problem might not be with the strip itself. The problem might actually be with your company, and with the way it is run! While some might think it is trivial to turn Dilbert into a topic of serious discussion, many businesses have, in fact, banned these cartoons from cubicle walls. Every boss wants to improve morale around the office, but instead of banning humor and hoping it will do anything but alienate employees, you should aim to improve employee morale by improving all the ways in which your business itself is run!
