Dealing With An eBay Customer Who Does Not Pay
With eBay, you can make some extra money on the side of your job, or you can get rid of stuff you no longer want. But while eBay is a great place to sell your items, it can quickly become not-so-great if someone is not paying you for the item you "sold." After all, eBay does not operate like a regular store, where you get paid for something and then give the item to the customer; instead, on eBay, the customer wins a bid, and you have to wait for them to pay you before you can truly consider it to be "sold." Customers on eBay have four days to pay, which is important to keep in mind if you are dealing with a customer who has not paid you for an item of yours they won. At least four full days must pass after the end of the auction, and although this can seem like ages when you are waiting for a payment, eBay will not take your complaint seriously until this point. If four full days have come and gone, however, eBay tends to take these matters seriously and help the seller resolve the issue. If someone has not paid you, the first thing you need to do is try to work things out with them by contacting them directly. If they are uncooperative or - perhaps even more frustrating - unresponsive, you then need to take things to the next step, which is filing the complaint with the Resolution Center at eBay. The buyer will again have four days to pay after you file a complaint with the Resolution Center (and will also, of course, be notified of the complaint). Although they are allowed to contact you and try to work out an extension or another arrangement during this time, you are not required to oblige. If they do not pay you within four days, and you have not agreed to any other arrangements, it will go down as an unpaid item. At this point, you can list your item again, or you can provide a Second Chance Offer to anyone else who bid on your item and lost; this also means that the "unpaid item" will go on the buyer's account. And when you sell your items on eBay, remember: you can look at the accounts belonging to those who are bidding, and you can lessen your chances of unpaid items by blocking those who have unpaid items on their record!

Tips For Exchanging Reciprocal Links On Your Website
When you are trying to boost your website's search engine optimization, one thing you will probably be doing is looking for different ways by which you can take advantage of the manner in which search engines work - and once you understand that backlinks (that is, links from another site that point users to your site) are among the most important elements of SEO, this may lead you to start doing some reciprocal links - where you link to another site in exchange for a link back to you - but while this can be a beneficial SEO trick, it can also hurt your website if you do not do it right! Know who is linking to you: If you have a website that is fairly high-ranking, and you are exchanging a reciprocal link with a site that is brand new, or that is not high-ranking at all, you will still be helping them, but they will not be helping you at all; furthermore, you will not receive any help through a reciprocal link if you are exchanging links with a site that is deemed by search engines to be irrelevant to yours. Know who you are linking to: While links from a poorly-ranked site will not hurt your search engine ranking, you should know that it is possible to hurt your search engine ranking by linking to "unsavory" sites; if a website is packed with spam, or if it is overflowing with pop-up ads, or if the content on the site is offensive, linking to this site will actually hurt your standing with search engines rather than helping you! Pay attention to anchor text: The text that this "partner website" turns into a link will also make a difference in whether or not the reciprocal link does anything for you; the best way to reciprocate links is to tell the other person what you want the anchor text to say, as this will allow you to make sure that the anchor text contains keywords that are relevant to the page being linked to, which will cause the link to have more weight with search engines. SEO can be complicated at first, but once you begin to understand the little things such as this, you will be in much better shape to boost your placement on search engine rankings pages!

Tips For Standing Out At Your Job
There is a common expression that says, "It's not what you know, but who you know." And when it comes to the business world, this quote is quite true. But rather than "who you know," in business it is "who knows you." If the right people do not "know" you, it just migt be the reason why you have not gotten that raise or that promotion that you feel you have worked hard enough to earn. In order for the right people to start to take notice, you need to learn how to stand out at your job. There is a lot more to standing out at your job than just drawing attention to yourself. After all, you will not be doing much to help you toward that raise or promotion if all the attention you are drawing to yourself is negative attention. Instead, you need to know how to draw positive attention to yourself. By silently doing more than what is expected of you, you will be doing one of the biggest things possible for drawing positive attention your way. By doing more than what is expected of you, you are sure to get people to notice. And people will take positve notice as you silently do more than what is expected - that is to say, as you do more than what is expected, without crowing about it or "making sure" people notice. It should be your silent goal to outwork everyone else on your project team. If you boss asked you to return a report to him, you should research more thoroughly and make it more polished than he could have expected. You can also draw positive attention to yourself by always being at work early, and by always staying late. On the surface, you might think that this would really dig into the other aspects of your life, but actually, people will take notice even if you are just fifteen minutes early every day, and if you leave just fifteen minutes late every day as well. Furthermore, if you examine a "typical day" closely, you will probably find at least thirty wasted minutes hidden in there somewhere! Cut this time out, and use it to draw positive attention to yourself. It is not difficult to get ahead in the business world. All you have to do is make sure you do good work, and do it in such a way that it draws positive attention to yourself.

Tips For Making Money With Search Engine Marketing: The First Steps
Search engine marketing is one of the best ways to make money online (which, of course, means that it is also one of the best ways to make money from home - or from vacation, or from just about anywhere else!), which is the process of creating websites through which you make money via ads and affiliate marketing, and which gives you the grand flexibility of "working for yourself" and being able to work on your own schedule. For each search engine marketer who finds success, however, there are scores of people who fail in their attempts to make money through SEM, and a large part of the reason for this widespread failure is that many people do not know the steps they should take! When it comes to search engine marketing, the first thing you need to understand is that, in addition to "writing for search engines" (knowing all the search engine optimization things you need to do in order to rise to the top of search engine rankings pages), you also need to write for people; after all, people are the ones who will decide whether to stay on your website or not when they visit, and people are the ones who will ultimately decide how much money you make through search engine marketing! The next thing you need to realize is that just because something is popular does not make it a good niche to explore; rather than looking for things that are "popular" (which will often translate to mean "lots of competition from other sites"), look for items that are profitable - and once you find these items, create content that targets keywords that are high on searches and low on competition! And finally, it is important that you understand that traffic does not necessarily mean profits; in addition to drawing traffic to your site, you need to make sure the traffic you are bringing your way is full of "buyers" instead of "researchers" - and the way to do this is to make sure you gain a full understanding of the sorts of keywords "buyers" are likely to used, compared to the keywords "researchers" are likely to use, and to make sure you are using this knowledge to your advantage!
