Many people have a tendency to come up with "goals" that they want to accomplish at the start of each year, but once they have gone a couple weeks into the year, they completely forget about these goals, and instead go back to living their life exactly as they were living it before the new year began! On the other side of this, of course, are those people who realize that most of the people who set goals each year do nothing about them, and because of this realization, these people decide to set no goals for themselves; there is a middle ground, however, which is setting yearly goals that you can strive toward - and then knowing how to consistently strive toward them as well! When it comes to setting goals, the first area where you are likely to take action is in work, and this is the area in which you are most likely to forget about your goals as well; when you set goals at work, you will want to make sure the goals are either measurable (that is, things you can track in a concrete manner), or that the goals are broken down in such a way that you can set measurable targets to achieve each month. When it comes to the goals you set with your family, you are likely to come up with things that are somewhat vague and difficult to define, but the best way to get around this is to set your goals - as they pertain to your family - in such a way that they center around particular events to do together or time to spend together. And when it comes to the goals you set in your personal life each year, you should try to identify areas in which you can constantly push to improve; although you may not be able to "track your progress" in these things, you will be able to make a conscious effort each day to improve in these areas, and in the long run, you will be able to look back and see how far you have come! http://bluerose.jamesloving.com/
