Classic books transcend time and these books are the ones you must read to your children because the story appeals to every generation. It really is important to share these works of art with our children. Not only will your child enjoy the epic story but they will also enjoy the time spent with you. One great book that children seem to love is The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster. Young children love the adventure that Milo goes on while older children will begin to understand and enjoy the word play that occurs through out the entire book. You will meet the which who is not a witch and the whether man who ironicaly is interested in the weather. Every family needs to sit down and enjoy this great book together. C.S. Lewis wrote the epic adventure called The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. This is part of the Chronicals of Narnia. This is an epic adventure that revolves around Christian values without being too in your face. Though the Christian theme is there, it isn't offensive in any mannor. Children will find this book to simply be an epic tale with mythical creatures and an evil witch. Narnia is a world that allows your childs imagination to roam and is great creatively. The characters are rich and easy to enjoy. Madeleine L&rsquo wrote a book called A Wrinkle in Time , which is a book that is part of a larger series. This is about a teenage girl who doesn’t exactly fit in and has low self-esteem. Meg goes through this book trying to save her father and ultimate succeeds in spite of herself. This book is easy to understand even though it is very heavy in the subject of science. Children who may enjoy the sci fi niche may greatly enjoy this book. This is just three of many books that are well worth reading. The Golden Compass, Ramona the pest, and Little House on the Prairie are all books that are well worth reading also. Think back to the books you loved as a child, odds are your children or the children in your life will also enjoy the same books.
