You do not have to keep up with your baseball team on a daily basis in order to know what is going on with your favorite team, but instead, baseball (and your baseball team!) can be something that you follow throughout the summer without investing too much of your time. Of course, it can also be easy to spend more time watching baseball than you actually intended to – especially if you have a team that you care about and try to keep up with – so it is certainly beneficial to understand a few of the things you can do in order to keep up with your favorite team without watching every single game.
If you take the time each morning to check the box score in the newspaper (or online after each game ends), this is a great way to get a feel for how the game itself went; once you understand the statistics that the box score gives, you will have a good feel for how each player performed, and for how the game came to turn out the way it did.
Reading articles that cover the games (and the goings-on of the team) is another great way to keep up with what is going on, and once you start reading such articles, you will quickly realize that – although there is a plethora of articles to choose from – most of them repeat the same things you will find in every other article, so simply pick a site or newspaper for reading, and stick with that one!
And of course, if you actually like to watch the games of your team, a great way for you to do so without “wasting” a ton of your time is by finding something that you can do while watching the game – either work from home, or hang out with your kids, or even listen to the game on the radio while you run errands.
When you take this approach to following baseball, you will be able to follow everything tht has to do with your team, without having to spend so much time doing so that you feel like you are wasting your time!
